Children are to be dropped off at the door of our classroom and signed in at between 7:48 a.m. and 7:53 a.m. In the afternoon, children are to be picked up from the ramp outside the classroom and signed out at 1:43 p.m.
Parents will be given two “pick up” signs with their child’s name and class on it. One of which must be presented to the teachers during pick up. Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to depart from the premises unless they are with a previously identified person. A staff member must always acknowledge the dismissal of a child.
In the event that you will be sending a third party to collect your child, please let us know in advance in writing (note/email to your class teacher and the office). This person will have to collect the child from the office with picture identification.
Drop off and Pick up will be at our door. Doors will open at 7:48 a.m. and close around 7:53 a.m. (Whole School Last Bell).
To drop off you will turn right into the staff lot on Woodford drive then turn right onto the dirt road. We are the very last portable so parents should line their cars on the right side and park. Parents are to walk their children to our door and sign them in. You can turn around in the little area near our portable and go out the same way.
Pick up is the same. Parents are to be on the ramp of our classroom at 1:43 p.m. to pick up children.
The Pre-Kindergarten year is the beginning of your child’s education at Governor Bent Elementary. This program strives to prepare children to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond. To accomplish this goal, your child’s attendance and punctuality each day are paramount.
