Children are to be dropped off at the door of our classroom and signed in at between 8:00 a.m. and 8:05 a.m. In the afternoon, children are to be picked up from the ramp outside the classroom and signed out at 2:15p.m.
Parents will be given two “pick up” signs with their child’s name and class on it. One of which must be presented to the teachers during pick up. Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to depart from the premises unless they are with a previously identified person. A staff member must always acknowledge the dismissal of a child.
In the event that you will be sending a third party to collect your child, please let us know in advance in writing (note/email to your class teacher and the office). This person will have to collect the child from the office with picture identification.
Drop off and Pick up will be at our door. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:05 a.m.
Pick up and drop off are the same. Parents walk up the ramp and come into the door beginning at 8:00am. Parents are to be on the ramp of our classroom at 2:15 p.m. to pick up children.
The Pre-Kindergarten year is the beginning of your child’s education at Governor Bent Elementary. This program strives to prepare children to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond. To accomplish this goal, your child’s attendance and punctuality each day are paramount.
