Patent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The PTO is an independent local group of families and staff. Key functions include:

• Fundraising: Raising money for school supplies, field trips, and new equipment.

• Events: Hosting fun community nights, book fairs, and school spirit days.

• Volunteering: Organizing helpers for classrooms, lunchrooms, and special activities.

PTO vs. PTA

• PTO (Parent Teacher Organization): Completely independent, sets its own rules, and keeps all money local.

• PTA (Parent Teacher Association): Affiliated with a national network, pays state/national dues, and follows standard rules.
